About MTIPS

Montessori Teachers Institute for Professional Studies was founded in 2009 by Wendy Calise, AMI elementary and primary teacher and Head of School at Countryside Montessori School in Northbrook, IL. She was inspired to create the Institute after attending an AMI workshop for the 9-12 age group at which her sense of the need for and strong interest in learning opportunities designed specifically for experienced teachers – at all levels – was validated by other course participants.

MTIPS offers a variety of services: the Summer Institute, On Site Professional Development, and weekly moderated on-line Q and A sessions with experienced practitioners. The first Summer Institute was offered in June 2010.
