karenKaren began her tenure at Countryside Montessori School in 1997. Her first responsibility was as an administrative assistant. In this role, she worked closely with Founder and Head of School, Annette Kulle, learning the many intricacies involved in the daily running of a school. She is also the first person that parents came in contact with when communicating with the school. As a result, Karen has a firsthand knowledge of the complexities of keeping a parent population happy while maintaining the integrity and standards of the school. She even has a granddaughter at the school now!

Within several years of her time at CMS, Karen’s knowledge of and passion for Montessori grew enormously. She moved into the position of Director of Admissions, a position she continues to hold today. In this role, Karen handles all enrollment inquiries from initial contact by phone or Internet right down to the final interview to determine acceptance. Her experience in working with prospective families and guiding them through the process of determining their fit with the school is extensive. With a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Karen is also the school’s business manager, overseeing tuition, payroll and payables.
