Kim Anderson has been teaching Montessori at the elementary level at Countryside Montessori School for six years. But Kim’s affiliation with Montessori and Countryside goes back further. Her oldest son Eric attended Countryside thirteen years ago. And her younger son Patrick also attended CMS. Both boys graduated from the elementary program and are now in high school. Her daughter Kieley is in 3rd grade at CMS. Kim started her work at CMS assisting in the All Year Montessori classroom. She then went on to care for the staff infants on our nido. Finally in 2004, Kim began the three-summer format AMI elementary training course.
Kim attended Illinois State University and earned a B.S. in Special Education, LD, BD, EMH Certifications. After graduation Kim taught high school for five years working with young adults with significant learning and behavioral challenges. In 2004 she continued her studies in education earning a Masters of Education from Loyola University, Maryland.
